SportsCard- UK’s vision is for children all over the country to be participating in their chosen sports for a minimum of three hours per week and to be rewarded for their positive activities.

The idea of Sportscard UK was originally conceived by Matthew Rodney. Working as a Sports Coach with children of all ages and backgrounds Matthew was impressed by how much effort the children put into their sports.

Matthew devised a reward scheme based on points that would enable the children to receive accreditation for the hours of sport that they completed.

The points would accumulate over time and enable each child to receive discounts on new equipment such as football boots, sports clothing, balls etc.

What is Sportscard UK?

Sportscard UK is a reward system for children designed around their aspirations and interests. The programme is a motivational tool that encourages children to increase their individual participation in any sporting activity.

How does the sportscard work?

Once registered with Sportscard UK each hour that a child spends engaging in sporting activities is recorded on the central Sportscard UK system. Points are accumulated and available to spend at any time with participating sponsors on a range of sports-related products designed to enhance sports performance.

As an example, a child participates in 4 hours sport per week and accumulates 16 points over one month. Through the reward card the child will be eligible to spend 16 equivalent credits at participating sponsors’ stores on merchandise or activities.
